Pamper Night

pamper, candles

We all need a bit of TLC sometimes and it doesn't have to cost that much when you do it in the comfort of your own home, you just need to run a bath, relax and have a cheeky glass of wine so in today's blog I'm going to let you into my pamper night which I am currently getting sleepy at the thought of hehe.

Firstly you need to dim the lights, I'm a night person and I find that I can get a slight head ache by the end of the day and that is cured by turning the lights off and just having the flicker from the candles.

Next, run a nice bubbly bath I normally use Imperial Leather Relaxing Bath Creme, Orchid & Ylang Ylang and Ylang Ylang is supposed to relax both the body and soul which is what you need when you are relaxing.

Whilst running my bubbly bath I usually light some fruity scented candles, I love candles so I am never short haha I should open up my own candle shop!

music, youtube

Now we are ready for some relaxing music, I have a playlist on youtube for some of my all time favourite songs which surprisingly aren't Rock related hehe. The songs include:

Yael Naim - Toxic

Alina Baraz & Galimatias - Show Me

Ash Riser - You Know I'm No Good (Cover)

Glimmer Of Booms - I Can't Get You Out Of My Head

Sofa Karlberg - Crazy In Love (Cover)

When I lived with my Mum I used to love listening to these songs in the rain or when I used to sit my room and draw.

pamper, products

Finally all the products I use on my Pamper Night.

First I use Garnier's eye makeup remover, it's really good tends to remove my mascara in one wipe plus it doesn't irritate my eyes and so many products irritate my eyes, after the removing my eye makeup I just cleanse my face with the Garnier Pure Active which is aimed at problem skin.

Then I usually use a face mask to freshen up and feel 'clean', sometimes it's not just your mind that needs a bit of TLC but also your skin is really important, I use masks aimed at de - stressing and helping fight blemishes. My skin feels so nice after, it feelings like it's taken away all the dirt and build up sweat and oils from the day.

So after using all of those products and getting wrinkly fingers from being in the bath for too long, it's time to get of the bubbles and let my skin dry for a few minutes and then I apply favourite body moisture which is the Baylis & Harding Midnight Fig & Pomegrante Body Lotion, it's smells incredible.

Birchbox Review June 2017

birchbox, beauty

birchbox, beachbag

The coolest Birchbox yet!

Gosh, I have been excited to write about this one! As usual I am late with a post but today I am determined to sit down and focus, so I've turned off The Waltons and I'm typing haha.

Even Sam is impressed with this month's Birchbox, once again I feel spoilt.

So everything came in this beachy make up bag which is loveeely! it feels good (that sounds weird) and smells really summery. It's in green and purple pastel tones as you can see from  the image above, I don't want to use it because it's really cute haha, I probably store like suncream in it or something.

Also with this months Birchbox, you get 15% off your next purchase from Trouva, go check it out, they have some cool stuff.

Okay, let's get reviewing shall we..

Scrub Love  | Coffee Body Scrub | RRP from £11.95*

Firstly I tried the body scrub by scrub love (kinda love that name haha) this stuff is heavenly! the scent is coconut mango and bloody hell you can smell it alright, not only makes you feel like you're at a spa when it's on your skin but the bathroom smells amazing as well, 5 * from me.

This product is meant to be Deeply Moisturizing, Conditions the skin and Rich in anti - oxidant and it does what it says on the label, I've actually re-sealed the pack so I can get a few more uses out of it.

^ The scrub looks like mud, but I promise you, it's not. ^

MeechNMia | Full size | Brow Liner in #21, #22, or #23 | RRP £12.99*

I was excited but wary to use this product at first simply because I am not an expert on this whole eyebrow on fleek trend, but after the first use I quite like it, it matches the colour of the powder that I usually use on my brows and it gives a nice clean line which is what I struggle to achieve sometimes.

Only issue is that for me personally I like to use a brush to do my eyebrows, it's just my thing but I will try and get used to the pencil, as they say practice makes perfect.
The picture below is after I have used the brow pencil.

Ecotools | Full size | Perfecting Duo Blender | RRP £9.99*

Ah, the beauty blender, the product that I've never  quite got the knack off..

This time, I have improved, not 100% but I'm getting there...
The finished look was really nice as you can see from the above photo, not to heavy and it did blend lovely.
I think the shape of these have really helped with my application, it's a lot easier to apply around your eye / nose area, I didn't really use my fingers to blend in areas that I couldn't reach with the blender so yeah like the brow liner I'm going to practice with it.

I've also wanted to try Ecotools for a while now so in the future I might try out the brushes.

Estee Lauder | Micro - Algae Minimizing Hydra Lotion | RRP £36*

Right, not only do you get 2 full sized products in this months Birchbox but also a mini sized Estee Lauder product like *screams* Birchbox you have gone above and beyond this month,  5 * from me.

I will admit I am not good at keeping up with day and night creams so I can't really give a full review of this but I will say it does feel nice, I applied it this morning, I'm makeup free today.
It's supposed to give instant radiance and all-day hydration, for smooth healthy skin.
I do get quite skeptical about all of these lotions and potions but I will try it out, I am not putting it at the back of the cupboard.

I guess you're wondering where the final product is.. yeah it pains me to say it because I really wanted to try it but I lost it.. I thought I put all of the products in it's cute bag upstairs ready for me to try but I think this one fell out and somehow ended up in the bin which I am gutted because it's aimed at people like me, the pale vamps that don't particularly like that fake orange stuff in the bottle.
It's a finishing lotion that is supposed to blur over skin imperfections, add a subtle glow and hydrate with vitamin B5 and shea butter.
When I have the pennies in my piggy bank I will buy this  one and try it out.

That's it for todays blog, thank you for reading please leave a comment on how I can improve etc

May

May

Turning 21, creating memories and treating myself...

May, the month I turned 21 and life just got a little bit brighter...

I would love to do individual posts about what I was up to in the month of May but there is just to much haha, so I am just going to cram it all together in photos and a little bit of me rambling in one blog post.

The past few months this year have been hard to say the least but once May came along things have slowly picked up again.

Firstly I turned 21, now as I'm getting older I'm becoming less bothered about my birthday but I thought as it was the big one I may as well do something special but the two people who completed the day were my wonderful boyfriend and best friend, I truly felt like a Princess that day.
Sam spoilt me rotten and we've only been together for 2 months, he went above and beyond I can't thank him enough, and for Lauren her just being there made my day, she also spoilt me rotten hehe.
I went to the Harry Potter Studio Tour again but this time they had the Forbidden Forest there which was pretty cool! the staff here were lovely, I got a birthday badge and a HP 'passport' and a couple of goodies at the shop the person serving me saw my badge.
To top the day off I came home to flowers and a birthday cake!

The weekend of my birthday I spent it with Sam as I couldn't spend my actual birthday with him, so we decided to pack up the picnic basket and off to The Black Country museum we went, it's a place I've always wanted to go and we are both history lovers.
I'd definitely recommend it, you really do feel like you're walking back in time it's something else.
One thing I really liked is that they had actors acting out  a scene of what they would do back then whether that be sewing or cooking dinner it was interesting, I'd like to try it out one day haha.
If you do then make sure you visit the old fashioned fish & chip shop, soo good, ugh makes my mouth water just thinking about it hehe, the chips were delicious and crispy.
The shop is pretty cool as well as usual I spend money, but hey it was my birthday so why not?

So a couple of days after I went to The Black County museum I went to a vintage kilo sale at the King's Hall in Stoke, sadly I didn't really get anything that nice but I went to one section which never lets me down, the Jewelry section and it didn't let me down. I brought I gorgeous silver ring for only £10 and every time I wear it I feel like a Princess.

Now the final week of May, I jetted off to Benidorm with work for business .. haha I'm just joking we went to party for 2 nights. I'm not the one for party holidays and I don't go out that much as it is, but it was so nice to get away and breathe that's really what it was for me. I quite enjoyed feeling the sand on my feet, splashing around in salty water, taking photos and having a rummage through the shops.
If you have the wild party side in you then I would definitely recommend Benidorm.

And that's it, thank you for reading this really late post aha, it's taken awhile to organise the photos and structure the blog post but I got there whoo!
